March 24, 2025

On Monday, March 24th we debuted our new Parent Forum event! We began with a short presentation (you can see the slides HERE), followed by an extended period of moderated table discussions.
Our topic was "I'm bored! - How to engage our GT students both at home and in school." Our intent was to provide practical tips and resources as well as an opportunity to connect with other district GT parents to share experiences and hear what has worked for others.
We have created a new page under the Student Enrichment section of this site where you can find some resources for this topic: Boredom Busters!

Planning Meeting

All parents of Adams 12 GT and Talent Pool students are welcome to join us for our planning meeting on Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:30-8:00pm. This meeting will take place in the Eisenhower Meeting Room at Broomfield Library.
This will be a planning meeting where we will be discussing the plans for next school year, so anyone who would like to help with the choosing, coordinating, or executing of events is encouraged to attend. Remember, we are a group made up entirely of volunteering parents and cannot continue to hold events without your help! Sign up HERE.
April 10, 2025

For our next social hour, we'd like to provide you with an opportunity to come and meet our board members and discuss what events you'd like to see and help make happen next school year. This will be an in-person, daytime event on Thursday, April 10th at 11am-1pm at Ca Phe in Thornton.
We are always open to other topics as well, and our social hours are a wonderful opportunity to share experiences or concerns in a casual conversation with other GT parents. See the Sign Up for more details and to let us know you are coming.

In order to continue providing these programs for you and your children, we need your help! Please become involved in your child's education by volunteering to help with an Adams 12 GT Parents Group event or by attending one of our monthly Leadership meetings to learn about GT resources and updates and plan events for Adams 12 GT families. Build Community
Support GT programs in your school!
The school district and the A12GTPG will continue to build the "school liaison" program to strengthen communication to families and to build our GT community. Each liaison has the opportunity to join meetings during the school year where district staff, the A12GTPG and other Liaisons gather to discuss how to best bring resources to our schools, GT students and their families. Help us move forward GT programming in your school!
